Margit K. Epstein, Dr. rer.pol, Dipl. Psych., Familientherapeutin (AAMFT) geb. 1960, hat in Heidelberg Psychologie und Familientherapie studiert und anschließend in den USA ein einjähriges Fellowship in systemischer Therapie am Family Therapy Institue in Galveston bei Harry Goolishian absolviert. Sie arbeitet seit 2000 als wissenschaftliche Referetin und Psychotherapeutin in eigener Praxis und hat zuvor in verschiedenen Einrichtungen in Deutschland und den USA gearbeitet. Sie hat u.a. zu Themen der narrativen Therapie und den politischen Implikationen therapeutischen Arbeitens publiziert.
Margit K. Epstein, b. 1960, studied psychology and family therapy in Heidelberg. She did a postgraduate fellowship in systemic therapy at the Galveston Family Institute with Harry Goolishian. She has worked as a systemic therapist in various settings in the US and in Germany. Since 2000, she is engaged in private practice in Oldenburg, Germany. She has published on topics of narrative therapy and the political implications of therapeutic work.

Dr. Celia Falicov, Psychologist/Family Therapist, raised in Argentina, lives in the US. Received Ph.D. in Human Development, University of Chicago, 1971. Since 1980, Clinical Professor, Psychiatry, University of California, San Diego. President 1999-2001, American Family Therapy Academy; member of Advisory Executive Board of several family therapy journals, including Family Process. Approved Supervisor of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. Has written extensively on migration and cultural and other developmental transition issues; developed model for introducing culture in family therapy and has received several awards for these contibutions to theory and practice. She was Visiting Professor (2001-2003) at the Tavistock Clinic in London.
Dr. Celia Falicov, Psychologin und Familientherapeutin, ist in Argentinien aufgewachsen und lebt in den Vereinigten Staaten. Ihren Doktor hat sie 1971 in Entwicklungspsychologie an der Universität von Chicago gemacht. Seit 1980 klinische Professorin für Psychiatrie an der Universität Kalifornien, San Diego. 1999-2001 Vorsitzende der American Family Therapy Academy, Mitglied des wissenschaftlichen Beirats mehrerer Zeitschriften für Familientherapie, z.B. Family Process. Von der American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy zugelassene Supervisorin. Zahlreiche Veröffentlichungen über Migration und kulturelle und andere Entwicklungs- und Wandlungsprozesse; Entwicklung eines Modells zur Eingliederung von Kulturaspekten in die Familientherapie. Für diese Beiträge zu Theorie und Praxis wurden ihr mehrere Auszeichnungen verliehen. 2001-2003 Gastprofessur an der Tavistock Clinic, London.

Nicolas Favez, Ph.D, Educational Psychologist, Service Educatif Itinerant, Astural, Geneva, Switzerland. Nicolas Favez teaches clinical psychology at the University of Fribourg, Department of Psychology, in the Clinical Unit of Professor M. Reicherts. He is also working in Geneva as an Educational Psychologist, doing home interventions in high-risk families with infants and toddlers. He served for eight years as a research and teaching assistant at the University of Geneva with Professor D. N. Stern. His teaching focuses on the methodology of observation, human ethology, and working with problematic families. His current research project focuses on the interplay between mother-child affective interaction and child’s adaptation to everyday stressful situations. He’s also working on several research projects in collaboration with the Center for Family Studies, especially the family’s adaptation to the birth of a first child.
Dr. Nicolas Favez, pädagogischer Psychologe, Service Educatif Itinerant, Astural, Genf. Nicolas Favez unterrichtet klinische Psychologie am Institut für Psychologie der Universität Freiburg (in der Abteilung von Professor M. Reicherts). Er arbeitet auch in Genf als pädagogischer Psychologe und führt in diesem Rahmen Programme für Risikofamilien mit Kleinkindern und Kindern im Grundschulalter durch. Er war acht Jahre als Forschungsassistent und Dozent bei Professor D. N. Stern an der Universität Genf tätig. Seine Lehrtätigkeit konzentriert sich auf die Methoden von Beobachtung, menschliche Ethologie und die Arbeit mit Problemfamilien. Sein derzeitiges Forschungsprojekt befasst sich mit dem Zusammenhang von affektiver Interaktion zwischen Mutter und Kind mit Anpassungsfähigkeit an Stresssituationen des täglichen Lebens. Weiterhin arbeitet er in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Center for Family Studies an mehreren Forschungsprojekten, besonders über den Umgang von Familien mit der Geburt des ersten Kindes.

Elisabeth Fivaz-Depeursinge, Ph.D, PD, MER, Professor of Clinical Ethology, University of Lausanne School of Medicine, Lausanne, Switzerland, Head of research, Center for Family Studies, University Psychotherapy Institute, University of Lausanne, Lausanne, Switzerland. Elisabeth Fivaz-Depeursinge teaches clinical ethology at the University of Lausanne School of Medicine. She is co-director of the Center for Family Studies and director of its research department. Trained in developmental psychology at the University of Geneva, she served as clinical assistant professor of psychiatry at the university of Virginia, USA, from 1968-1970. Dr Fivaz-Depeursinge was a practicing child analyst and family therapist before she moved into the area of clinical research. Her research program focuses on non-verbal affective interaction observed in clinical settings. Using both referred families and families from the general population, her early work was based on interactions in infancy. She pioneered the study of early triadic interactions between father, mother and baby. The Lausanne Triadic Play (LTP) paradigm, created by E. Fivaz-Depeursinge and Antoinette Corboz is currently used in family studies in several countries. This paradigm is the subject of a recent book: "The Primary Triangle. A Developmental Systems Approach".
Dr. Elisabeth Fivaz-Depeursinge, MER; Professorin für klinische Verhaltensforschung and der Universität von Lausanne (Medizinische Fakultät). Co-Direktorin und Leiterin der Forschungsabteilung des Zentrums für Familienstudien an der Universität Lausanne (Institut für Psychotherapie). Studium der Entwicklungspsychologie an der Universität Genf, Lehrbeauftragte für Psychiatrie an der Universität Virginia, USA (1968-1970). Dr. Fivaz-Depeursinge war als Kinderanalytikerin und Familientherapeutin tätig, bevor sich ihre Arbeit in den Bereich der klinischen Forschung verlagert hat. Ihre Forschung konzentriert sich auf nonverbale affektive Interaktion im klinischen Umfeld. In ihren frühen Forschungen hat sie sowohl Familien in ihrer Behandlung als auch zufällig ausgewählte Familien im Hinblick auf Interaktionen in der Kindheit untersucht. Sie war Vorreiterin in der Untersuchung von frühen triadischen Beziehungen zwischen Vater, Mutter und Baby. Das Lausanne Triadic Play Paradigma (LTP), das von Elisabeth Fivaz-Depeursinge und Antoinette Corboz entwickelt wurde, wird derzeit in mehreren Ländern in Familienstudien eingesetzt.
