Alexis Ibarra is a Mexican psychologist. He has a Masters degree in family therapy from Universidad de las Americas in Mexico city and a diploma in postmodern and collaborative therapies. Alexis Ibarra is currently a Ph. D. student in the Social Psychology program at Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona, where he is conducting a research about the links between theory and clinical practice in contexts of training and supervision.

Vita:
Hugh Jenkins was Chair of the UK Association for Family Therapy (1982-85) and Director of the Institute of Family Therapy (1987-96). He was a founding member of the EFTA Board and has served two other terms. He is a Senior Lecturer, Institute of Psychiatry, London and has a busy independent psychotherapy practice. His work draws on psychodynamic and systemic models, gendered inter-generational stories, and increasingly on developments in understanding the brain. However, it is always the quality of the therapeutic encounter which directs his work, in the belief that this is where healing begins. Patient first, - theory second! He has published extensively covering his many professional interests, and trains in Scandinavia, west and central Europe, and South East Asia.
Hugh Jenkins war Vorsitzender der UK Association of Family Therapy (1982-85) und Direktor des Instituts für Familientherapie (1987-96). Er ist Gründungsmitglied des EFTA-Vorstandes und war für zwei weitere Amtsperioden Mitglied des Vorstandes. Er lehrt am Institut für Psychiatrie in London und betreut zahlreiche Klienten in freier Praxis. In seiner Arbeit konzentriert er sich auf psychodynamische und systemische Modelle, geschlechtsspezifische generationsübergreifende Geschichten, und immer stärker auch auf das menschliche Gehirn und entsprechende Funktionen und Abläufe. Am Wichtigsten ist für ihn aber stets die konkrete therapeutische Arbeit, aufgrund der Überzeugung, dass es dieser Kontext ist, in dem der Heilungsprozeß wirklich beginnt: Zuerst der Patient, dann die Theorie! In vielen seiner beruflichen Interessensgebiete war er auch als Autor tätig und er führt Ausbildungen in Skandinavien, West- und Mitteleuropa und Südostasien durch.

Barbara Józefik Ph.D., clinical psychologist, family psychotherapist, has been working in Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Collegium Medicum of Jagiellonian University in Kraków since 1979. Since 1986 she has been running Family Therapy Unit of the Department. She specialised as clinical psychologist, obtained a certificate as psychotherapist and supervisor of Polish Psychiatric Association and Polish Psychologist Association. She participated in many workshops led by family therapists from abroad a/o from Institute of Family Therapy in London, Institute fur Systemische Therapie in Marburg , Centro Milanese di Terapia della Famiglia. She completed course classes in different approaches in family therapy in Poland. She completed training in Accademia di Psicoterapia della Famiglia in Roma. For last 9 years she has been running courses on family therapy in Poland within the fram of Cracow Foundation of Psychotherapy Development. Special interests in family therapy, systemic consultation, eating disorders. The editor the first monograph in Poland on eating disorder.
