Professor of Psychiatry and Family Medicine, Associate Chair for the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine, and Director of Wynne Center for Family Research in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. She is nationally and internationally known for her publications in the areas of medical family therapy, and family systems medicine. Her special areas of interest are mental health problems in primary care, families and genetic conditions, somatization, and gender and health. She is a frequent speaker at meetings of both health and mental health professionals. Dr. McDaniel has been recognized by the American Psychological Association as the 1995 Family Psychologist of the Year, and she received the award for Innovative Contributions to Family Therapy from the American Family Therapy Academy in 2000. She was Chair of the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education in 1998, President of the Division of Family Psychology of the American Psychological Association (APA) in 2000, and Chair of the APA Publications and Communications Board in 2003. Dr. McDaniel was the first psychologist, representing APA, to complete the Bureau of Health Professions Primary Care Policy Fellowship in 1998. Dr. McDaniel is co-editor with Thomas Campbell, M.D., of the multidisciplinary journal, Families, Systems & Health. She co-authored or co-edited the following books: Systems Consultation (1986) Family-Oriented Primary Care (1990; 2nd Edition: 2004), Medical Family Therapy (1992), Integrating Family Therapy (1995), Counseling Families with Chronic Illness (1995), The Shared Experience of Illness (1997), Casebook for Integrating Family Therapy (2001), The Biopsychosocial Approach: Past, Present & Future (2003), and Primary Care Psychology (2003). Several of these books have been translated into German, Hebrew, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Portuguese, and Spanish.
Professorin für Psychiatrie und Familienmedizin, Co-Vorsitzende der Abteilung für Familienmedizin an der medizinischen Fakultät der Universität Rochester. Leiterin des Wynne Center for Family Research in der Abteilung für Psychiatrie an der medizinischen Fakultät der Universität Rochester. Durch ihre Veröffentlichungen in den Gebieten medizinische Familientherapie und Medizin und Familiensysteme ist sie national und international bekannt. Ihre besonderen Interessen liegen in den Bereichen psychische Probleme und medizinische Grundversorgung, Familien und genetische Konditionen, Somatisierung, und Gender und Gesundheit. Sie hält regelmäßig Vorträge bei Kongressen über Gesundheit und psychische Gesundheit. Dr. McDaniel wurde 1995 von der American Psychological Association zur Psychologin des Jahres ernannt, im Jahr 2000 wurde sie mit dem Preis für innovative Beiträge zur Familientherapie von der American Family Therapy ausgezeichnet. Sie war Vorsitzende der Akkreditierungskommission für Ehe- und Familientherapieausbildung (1998), Vorsitzende der Abteilung für Familienpsychologie der American Psychological Association APA (2000), und Vorsitzende des Publications and Communications Board der APA (2003). Dr. McDaniel war die erste Psychologin und Vertreterin der APA, die ein Forschungsstipendium vom Bureau of Health Professions erhielt (1998). Wolfgang Müller, 33, secondary school teacher, since 1999 teacher at the vocational school for technology in Koblenz. After he trained as a car mechanic, he completed his A-levels in technology in Neuwied. He studied at the University of Kaiserslautern to obtain a teacher´s degree for vocational schools (subjects: metal engineering and social sciences). He already taught at the vocational school for technology in Koblenz during his teacher training; currently, he mainly teaches students who train in motor vehicle professions, and job preparation classes. He is a recognized representative of systemic practice in schools.
Wolfgang Müller, Studienrat (33), seit 1999 Lehrer an der Berufsbildenden Schule Technik Koblenz. Nach der Ausbildung zum Automobilmechaniker absolvierte Wolfgang Müller das Technische Abitur in Neuwied. Das Lehramt für Berufsbildende Schulen im Fach Metalltechnik und Sozialkunde studierte er an der Universität Kaiserslautern. Bereits als Referendar unter Anleitung des Studienseminars Neuwied an der Berufsbildenden Schule Technik Koblenz tätig, unterrichtet Herr Müller heute vor allem die Berufsschulklassen des Kfz-Gewerbes sowie das Berufsvorbereitungsjahr. Herr Müller ist ein ausgewiesener systemischer Praktiker in der Schulpraxis.

Anne Mullin has a background in social work with twenty-five years experience of working with troubled children and young people in residential care. As manager of a children's home, she was responsible for progressing innovative and creative practices to meet the changing, varied and challenging needs of children and young people. Now a systemic family therapist in the Family Trauma Centre, Belfast, she is interested in the way systemic thinking and practice can be combined with trauma focussed ideas and practices, so that opportunities for therapeutic work with families, affected by civil conflict in Northern Ireland, are created. In addition, Anne is a member of the Queen's University Belfast family therapy training and supervisor group.
Anne Mullin kommt aus der Sozialarbeit und hat 25 Jahre Erfahrung mit problembelasteten Kindern in Jugendlichen in Heimunterbringung. Als Leiterin eines Kinderheims war sie für die Entwicklung und Weiterentwicklung von innovativen und kreativen Praktiken verantwortlich, um den unterschiedlichen, sich wandelnden Bedürfnissen der Kinder und Jugendlichen gerecht zu werden, die eine stet Herausforderung darstellten. Sie arbeitet heute als systemische Familientherapeutin im Family Trauma Centre in Belfast und interessiert sich in diesem Rahmen besonders dafür, wie systemisches Denken und systemische Theorie mit traumaorientierten Ideen und Praktiken kombiniert werden kann. So will sie neue Möglichkeiten für die therapeutische Arbeit mit Familien, die durch den Nordirlandkonflikt betroffen sind, schaffen. Zudem ist Anne Mullin Mitglied der Ausbilder- und Supervisorengruppe für Familientherapie an der Queens-Universität Belfast.

Vita:
Tim Myers, born 1952 in London, left University in 1972 after a year to continue a career as a musician. Working with Britain’s then flourishing Community Theatre groups he went on to help develop the then new field of community work. After setting up projects working with children, adolescents and young offenders he completed a psychotherapy training 1985/6 with Nick Totton at Energy Stream. Since then his main focus has been on working with conflict. This interest has led him to travel widely and to study extensively (1988-96) Mindell’s Process Oriented Psychology.
Since 1995 based in Zurich/Switzerland, where, as a self employed consultant, he works for cantonal justice departments and city social and education services bringing conflicting (mainly) young people together to process their conflicts. He also teaches in colleges of further education at graduate and postgraduate level and has a private consultancy practice.
Geb. 1952 in London, verließ 1972 nach einem Jahr die Uni, um seine Musikerkarriere zu verfolgen. Während er mit der damals blühenden britischen „Community Theatre“-Szene arbeitete, beteiligte er sich aktiv an der Entwicklung des neuen Berufsfeldes der Gemeinwesenarbeit und begründete Projekte für Kinder und Jugendliche. 1985-86 absolvierte er eine Psychotherapie-Ausbildung mit Nick Totton von Energy Stream. Seither gilt sein Interesse der Arbeit mit Konflikten. Diesem Interesse folgend reiste er umher und studierte 1988-96 ausführlich die prozessorientierte Psychologie von Mindell.
Seit 1995 lebt er in Zürich, wo er als freischaffender Berater für die kantonalen Jugendanwaltschaften und städtische Schul- und Sozialämter die Aufgabe hat, konfliktierende (meist) junge Leute zusammen zu bringen um ihre Konflikte miteinander zu bearbeiten. Er unterrichtet als Gastdozent in Fachhochschulen und führt eine Privatpraxis.
