Vita:
Andrea Lanfranchi, PhD, was born in Poschiavo (Graubünden) in 1957. He is a psychologist specialized in child and juvenile psychology and in psychotherapy and member of the Federation of Swiss Psychologists (FSP). He worked as an educational psychologist for the medical and psychological services for schools of the city of Zurich, then as a teacher and supervisor at the School of Social Work, Zurich, and afterwards became head of the Center for Intercultural Education in the teacher training program of the Zurich Canton. He currently works as a teacher at the Intercantonal School of Orthopedagogics in Zurich. Research activities include work for the National Research Program “Migration and Intercultural Relationships” NFP 39 (management of the study “Educational success of immigrant children: the effects of transitional spaces”). He also works with the Training Institute for Systemic Therapy and Counseling in Meilen, Switzerland and is a member of the Federal Coordination Committee for Family Issues.
Andrea Lanfranchi, geb. 1957, Dr. phil., Fachpsychologe für Kinder- und Jugendpsychologie FSP und Fachpsychologe für Psychotherapie FSP, aus Poschiavo/Graubünden. Früher Schulpsychologe beim Schulärztlichen-Schulpsychologischen Dienst der Stadt Zürich, dann Dozent und Supervisor an der Schule für Soziale Arbeit in Zürich, später Leiter der Fachstelle Interkulturelle Pädagogik in der Lehrerbildung des Kantons Zürich und heute Dozent bei der Interkantonalen Hochschule für Heilpädagogik in Zürich. Forschungstätigkeit beim Nationalfonds-NFP 39 (Leitung der Studie „Schulerfolg von Immigrantenkindern: Effekte transitorischer Räume“). Mitarbeiter des Ausbildungsinstituts für systemische Therapie und Beratung in Meilen. Mitglied der Eidgenössischen Koordinationskommission für Familienfragen.

Born 1950 and educated in former Jugoslavia, immigration to Austria in the age of 21, starting in Vienna as design engineer, education in psychiatric nursery, 11 years of psychosocial occupation, psychotherapistic education, launching of a psychotherapeutical practice as free lancer, further education in NLP, Existencial Analysis and Supervision, establishing a registered association for training in Therapeutical Painting. Further occupational activities: Social and psychotherapeutic care for refugees since 1991 (at the moment with FEM South in Vienna), 6 years of official psychotherapic care for released prisoners.
1950 in Jugoslawien geboren, mit 21 nach Österreich gekommen, zuerst als Bautechnikerin tätig, dann als Psychiatrische Krankenschwester Ausbildung in Systemischer Familientherapie (IFS) und Weiterbildungen in Supervision, Neurolinguistisches Programmieren (NLP) und Existenzanalyse. Weitere Tätigkeiten: 6 Jahre mit geistig abnormen Rechtsbrechern (BM für Justiz), 5 Jahre im PSD (Psychosozialer Dienst der Gemeinde Wien), 6 Jahre in der Forensischen Nachbetreuungsambulanz und seit 1993 in freier Praxis.
Mitarbeiterin bei verschiedenen Projekten (ÖBVP, BÖP mit Flüchtlingen) Gründerin des Vereines "Zentrum für Maltherapie" und als Ausbilderin tätig. Derzeit einmal pro Woche psychotherapeutische Betreuung von Frauen im FEM (Frauengesundheitszentrum).

Board member of all German-speaking journals in the field of systems therapy. Numerous publications on different aspects of systemic theory and practice.

Dr. Howard Liddle is Professor of Epidemiology and Public Health and Director of the Center for Treatment Research on Adolescent Drug Abuse at the University of Miami Medical School. A psychologist, Dr. Liddle is an internationally recognized expert on adolescent substance abuse and delinquency. He reviews grants, and serves on expert panels addressing the problems of adolescents for many national funding institutes - the National Institute on Drug Abuse, the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, the National Institute on Mental Health, and the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment, and private foundations including Drug Strategies, the Annie E. Casey Foundation, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. His 25 years of work in this specialty have been recognized with awards from the American Psychological Association, the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and the American Family Therapy Academy. He has been a faculty member in the medical school at the University of Miami since 1996. Before that he was a faculty member at the University of California, San Francisco and Temple University in Philadelphia. His research center at the University of Miami was the first National Institutes of Health funded center focusing on adolescent drug abuse treatment research. Dr. Liddle and his team are currently conducting treatment studies in Miami and around the country on a comprehensive, family based treatment for juvenile justice involved, drug abusing adolescents. This treatment approach that has been recognized as a research-based "Best Practice" by the Office of Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention, the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention, the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment, and as an empirically validated treatment by the National Institute on Drug Abuse.
Dr. Howard Liddle ist Professor für Epidemiologie und öffentliche Gesundheit. Er leitet das Zentrum zur Erforschung der Behandlung von Drogenmissbrauch bei Jugendlichen an der medizinischen Fakultät der Universität Miami. Als Psychologe ist er ein international anerkannter Experte für Drogenmissbrauch bei Jugendlichen und jugendliche Straftäter. Er überwacht die Vergabe von Zuschüssen und ist Mitglied von Fachgremien verschiedener entsprechender Institute, z.B. des National Institute on Drug Abuse, des National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, des National Institute on Mental Health, und des Center for Substance Abuse Treatment, sowie von privaten Stiftungen, darunter Drug Strategies, die Annie E. Casey Foundation, und die Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Seine 25jährige Arbeit in diesem Fachbereich wurde durch Auszeichnungen von der American Psychological Association, der American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy und der American Family Therapy Academy gewürdigt. Seit 1996 lehrt er an der medizinischen Fakultät der Universität Miami, davor lehrte er an den Universitäten Kalifornien und San Francisco und an der Temple-Universität Philadelphia. Dr. Liddle konzentriert sich mit seinem Team zur Zeit auf die Durchführungen von Untersuchungen in Miami und im ganzen Land hinsichtlich einer umfassenden familienbasierten Behandlung für jugendliche Straftäter. Dieser Behandlungsansatz wurde vom Office of Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention, dem Center for Substance Abuse Prevention und dem Center for Substance Abuse Treatment als “Best Practice” anerkannt, sowie als eine empirisch bestätigte Behandlung vom National Institute on Drug Abuse.
