W 3 Endowed Professorship for Systemic Family Therapy in Freiburg

The Faculty of Medicine of the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg announces the opening of the following position at the University Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychosomatics of the University Medical Center Freiburg, Department of Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy:
W 3 Endowed Professorship for Systemic Family Therapy
The holder of the position represents the area of Systemic Family Therapy in Research and Teaching. With the professorship, focus on family therapy should be developed.
Extensive experience in Systemic Therapy, Education and Training, and in Research is required for the position. We are looking for an internationally acclaimed research personality, who is capable of developing and advancing the existing clinical, scientific and didactic focus of psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy. Particular emphasis will be placed on experience with international collaborations. The solicitation of thirdparty funds and experience in leading scientific work groups are a prerequisite. Requirements for employment are completed studies in Psychology, Medicine, or related fields of study, as well as postdoctoral lecture qualification (Habilitation) or a comparable scientific accomplishment. Proof of pedagogical qualification should be provided.
The Endowed Professorship is initially appointed for a period of ten years. The employment is as a Professor on salary. An evaluation will follow after eight years and will determine the basis of the continuation of the professorship.
